Here’s a quick and simple recipe for herbed basmati rice.
Serves 6-8
Ingredients:
1½ cups basmati rice, rinsed
1 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp butter or olive oil
½ cup chopped mixed tender leaved fresh herbs – flat leaf parsley, dill, cilantro, basil
¼ tsp black pepper
Method:
- In a medium pot, bring 3 cups salted water and rice to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes or until water has been absorbed. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally.
- Toss with butter, herbs and pepper in a medium sized bowl.
